About the event…

Naturally Inspired Paint Out is an annual en plein air event. 15 artists are juried in to paint live at the zoo. Each artist has the opportunity to share their creative process with the guests and inspire others to also explore nature in a creative way.

The artwork is then professionally framed and hung in the Schaefer Rotunda Gallery all summer where guests and members get to vote on their favorite.

A silent auction and artists’ reception is held toward the end of the year. The artwork will be sold to support the conservation efforts of the Indianapolis Zoo.
